Obituary for ROMERO

ADOLPH ROMERO, age 85, passed away in Pojoaque on November 21, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa L. Romero. He was born in Santa Fe on September 7, 1922 to Ramona and Adolfo Romero. He married Teresa Lacassagne on February 13, 1945. He was a Fire Fighter for Los Alamos as well as a Tech for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a member of the VFW in Santa Fe and LULAC. He is survived by his son, Eugene R. Romero of Albuquerque; daughters, Sylvia Romero of Santa Fe, Irene E. Lopez and husband, Benjamin of Espanola, Evelyn Valdez and husband, Johnny of Farmington; son, Steve Romero of Albuquerque; daughters, Annette T. Romero and Jeanette R. Urbina both of Espanola; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Toni Chapman, Della Barbaro, and Flora Muniz all of Santa Fe. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 25, 2007, at noon with a Rosary to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 26, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Pojoaque. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
