Antonia "Toni" H. Fischer, 98, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, November 11, 2007. She was born in Santa Fe, NM to Guadalupe Herrera and Jesusita Sedillos on June 22, 1909. Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Adolpo Fischer. She is survived by her nephew, Tony Herrera, nieces, Tesse Garcia, and Gloria Richards; nephew, Ernie Godsey; nieces, Sandy Krantz, Laura Fay-Salazar, Martha Fischer-Aragon, and Edwina Brown; nephew, Ray Aragon; nieces, Bernice Jensen and DeDe Stutchman; and great-niece, Christine Perea. She and her husband opened and operated Hoffmantown's first Barber and Beauty Salon in 1948. She was an established hair stylist. Toni was a great cook and loved to give dinner parties. She also enjoyed pottery, crochet and her flower gardens. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 18, 2007, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with Deacon Byron Wicker reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 19, 2007, 9:00 a.m., at the Shrine St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Father Tom Zotter officiating.
