JoAnn Bernhardt-Richards, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007, after a terminal illness. JoAnn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jack and Louise and her brother, Glenn. She is survived by her husband, Scott Richards; son, Scott; sister, Lynn and husband, Pat and two children; and sister-in-law, Marilyn and four children. JoAnn was born February 2, 1958 in Albuquerque. She worked in the title insurance industry for 30 years. She started as a courthouse searcher and worked her way up to becoming an escrow officer and branch manager. She participated in many activities such as Ryan's Run, Walk For A Cure, and Run For The Zoo. She touched many people's lives and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007, 2:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in JoAnn's name has been set up with Wells Fargo Bank. Donations will be given to cancer research and the Humane Society.
