Obituary for ACEVES

CARLOS Mr. Carlos Aceves, age 93, passed away peacefully at his home with his nieces at his side on November 13, 2007. Carlos was born in El Paso, TX on April 14, 1914. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Enrique and Luis Aceves; and sisters, Marta Okubo and Angelina Diaz. Carlos owned and operated Casa Blanca Weavers since 1934. He was a WWII veteran serving with the 84th Replacement Battalion in England and France, 1944-1946. He is survived by his sister, Carolina Vargas of Friona, TX and brother, Alfredo Aceves of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his nieces, Theresa Aceves, Esther Luna and husband, Leo, Marti Lesperance/Keller and husband, Walter, all of Albuquerque and their respective immediate families, Mark Chewiwie of San Diego, CA, Annette Nanez and husband, Ruben of Anthony, TX, Monica Chewiwie-Otero and husband, Randy of Albuquerque, Lawrence Luna of Albuquerque, Edward Luna and wife, Sharon of Rio Rancho, John Luna and wife, Samaranthe of Albuquerque, Charles Luna of Tempe, AZ, Len Lesperance and wife, Karen of Mesa, AZ, Matt Lesperance and wife, Michelle of Tijeras, Pam Castillo and husband, Nick of Rio Rancho; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 12 grand-nephews and -nieces and six great-grand-nieces and -nephews. Uncle will be VERY GREATLY MISSED. Carlos was a life-long member of the San Jose Catholic Church and Choir. A Rosary will be recited in the Psalm Chapel of The Daniels Family Funeral Service (formerly Strong-Thorne Mortuary), 1100 Coal Ave. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM with Rev. Father Gabriel Paredes, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Otero, Mark Chewiwie, Edward and John Luna, and Len and Matt Lesperance.
