Obituary for MILLER

Elizabeth (Betty) Allan Miller, 85, of Albuquerque, beloved wife of Glenn H. Miller, was taken home by the Lord on November 8, 2007, after a lengthy illness. She was born to Eliza M. and Joseph M. Allan in Rochester, New York on March 26, 1922. After graduating from High School, she attended a business school in Rochester. Betty then became a secretary in the Stromberg-Carlson Company. There she met Glenn, her future husband, who was a graduate physics student, working at the time in the Stromberg research department. They were married on October 19, 1945. In 1946, the couple moved to Ithaca, NY, where Glenn completed his graduate work at Cornell University. After that, they lived successively in Ames, IA; Charlottesville, VA; and Littleton, CO. In 1961, they moved to Albuquerque and have lived here since then. Betty was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack and Joe Allan, and her son-in-law, John Wade. She is survived by Glenn, her husband of 62 years; her son, Quentin Miller and wife, Docia; daughter, Tami Wade; and daughter, Clare and husband, Robert Culpepper. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Betty's major interest after her Lord was her family. Besides that, she was for some years a member of the Assistance League of Albuquerque and the Old Glass Club. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Cremation has taken place.
