Bertha Lovato, age, 87, a resident of Belen, NM, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2007. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by Jimmy Maes, Margie Tafoya, and Dolores Montano. Bertha is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard Lovato; four loving daughters, Marylou Ortega, Viola M. Lucero, Cora M. Griego, and Helen Chavez; six step-children, Kate Debord, Betty Garcia, Cirio, Gilbert, Ross and Arthur Lovato; and her many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home, on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. A final visitation will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Clarence Ortega, Joe Lucero, Brandon Chavez, Allen Montano, John Tafoya, and Ross Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Doughtery and James Maes.
