Jesse Aragon, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary 'Lou' Aragon; three daughters, Andrea Calderon, Denise and husband, Michael Gray, and Lauren Krone; six grandchildren, Eli, Jonathan, Matthew, Shannon, Michael, and Mark; his special 4-legged friend, Weebles; and four brothers and two sisters. Jesse served his country with the Corp of Engineers throughout many European countries in WWII. Following his Army duty, he graduated Cum Laude from USC with a Chemical Engineering Degree. He spent his entire successful career of 39 years with Los Alamos National Laboratory. While at Los Alamos, he accomplished an advanced degree with the Anderson School of Management. During his tenure at the National Lab, he was successful in accomplishing his many passions, especially with Safety and Health for all employees, safety for surrounding communities, and our national security. While not working, Jesse had a great passion for deep sea and fresh water fishing. He lead a humble life as a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by his many friends and relatives. He was always a devoted and beloved husband and father. Those closest to him will always remember his wit and charm, the special glint in his eyes and his wonderful smile. He cared for everyone and all. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
