Ernesto Donald Romero, age 60, went home to be with our Lord, Thursday, October 11, 2007. Ernesto was born January 15, 1947 to Luis and Lucille Romero in Canjilon, NM. Ernesto served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and was awarded two Purple Hearts and one Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Romero in 1991 and his brother, Alberto Romero in 2002. Ernesto is survived by his wife, Janice D. Romero; his son, Jason Romero; his daughter, Ashley Romero; his mother, Lucille Romero; his brothers, Joe Suazo and wife, Coco, Luis Romero Jr. and wife, Kris and Steve Romero; his sisters, Virginia Valdez and husband, Roy, Eloida Rimbert, Linda Sparks and husband, Michael and Elizabeth Romero; many cousins, nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held at Legacy Church, 7201 Central NW in Albuquerque, on Thursday morning, October 18th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The Burial Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW.
