Evangeline "Mona" Weinlein Olesko, 92, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Friday, October 12, 2007. She is survived by her son, John Weinlein and wife, Barbara of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Kirt Weinlein, Sharon Pearson and husband, Marc; three great-grandchildren, Stacia, Justine, and Skylar; sister, Mabel Mason of Hartford, WI; and several other relatives and friends. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, John Olesko; three children, Erna, Bill, and Teresa; brother, Earl; and sister, Margaret. She was born in Hartford, WI on August 16, 1915 to Edward and Amanda Foelske. Mona worked for Mill Print in Milwaukee for over 20 years and retired at the time she moved to Albuquerque in the late '70s. She enjoyed life, loving to sew, garden, play blackjack in Vegas, and read, until she lost her sight. Mona was a loving mother, grandmother and Gigi to her great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, October 16, 2007, 5:00 p.m. with Pastor John Timothy Plump officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in Milwaukee, WI.
