Obituary for TJELTWEED

Oswald B. Tjeltweed, born June 1, 1924, passed away October 8, 2007. Ozzie grew up in Binford, ND. His family moved to Billings, MT after he graduated from high school. He spent seven years as a navigator in the Air Force, flying in B-17's and B-29's. Ozzie went to work at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque as an electrical engineer after graduating from Montana State University in 1953. He retired in 1985 and enjoyed golf, travel, his family and friends. He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Lisa Joy, and two sisters, Lillian and Borghild. Ozzie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred Weeden of Wynne, AR; a son, Chuck; a daughter, Linda Chapman and husband, Ronnie; two grandsons, Leigh Chapman and wife, Shannon, Curtis Chapman and wife, Kathy; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ann Shaw of Billings, MT and Dayle Parker of Sylmar, CA. A Graveside Service will be held for the family at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
