Obituary for CORLEW

Ransford M. Corlew, born April 12, 1918, passed away on Monday night at the age of 89 in Albuquerque. He was born in Sioux Falls, SD, to Clarence and Evelyn Corlew. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ursula; son, Randolf and wife, Joni; grandson, Robert and wife, JoAnna; granddaughter, Shellie; and great-granddaughter, Isabella. A career military man, Ransford was a veteran of four theaters of war. He was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, fought the Nazis in Europe, and saw combat in Korea and Vietnam. He was the recipient of both the Bronze Star and 2 Purple Hearts before his retirement from the Army in 1966. Ransford was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling the western states in his RV with his wife, prospecting, hunting and fishing along the trail. Ransford will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2007 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
