Mr. Raul S. Fernandez, 61, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007. Mr. Fernandez is survived by his wife, Theresa nee Lopez; two daughters, Bettina Fernandez and husband, Peter, Erica Borrego and husband, Ron, all of California; two sons, Michael A. Sedillo, Matthew L. Sedillo and wife, Patricia, all of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren, Robert, Michael T., Antonio, Sheri, Matthew J., Niko, William, Nicolas, Olivia, and Cianna; four great-grandchildren, Reyna, Arriana, Malachi, and Jaryn; two brothers, John Raymond and wife, Marrie, Mike and wife, Teresa of California; seven sisters, Dolores Lyons and husband, Rolf of California, Helen Lopez and husband, Rey, Rebecca Rubio, Margaret Benavidez, Maria Morris, Mercedes Fernandez-Wells and husband, Lewis, and Alice Garcia and husband, Danny. Mr. Fernandez is also survived by numerous beloved nephews, nieces, and friends. Mr. Fernandez was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Refugio Fernandez; three brothers, Bobby, Tony, and Art; son, Timmy; and nephew, Eddie. Master Sergeant Fernandez was retired from a successful career spanning 30 years with APS and 22 years with the 150th CE Squadron of the Air National Guard of New Mexico. A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Steve Ulibarri will be held on Monday, September 17th,2007 at 10:30 a.m.: Family Worship Center, 7311 Glenrio Rd NW.
