Elena Bernal, 88, died September 9, 2007. Elena was born in Tinaja, NM to Jose and Terecina Bernal, the oldest of eight children. She is survived by her sisters, Viola Castillo and Terecina Jean; her brother, Juan Bernal and wife, Louise; numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Miss Bernal was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Virginia; and her brothers, Antonio, Ignacio and Alberto. Elena was a teacher for 35 years before retiring and was a faithful member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 13, 2007, 9:00 a.m., Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m., at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 1818 Coal Pl SE, with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
