Lily M. Waggoner, 85, died Thursday, August 16, 2007. She was born August 14, 1922, in Calhoun County, IL, to John Ester and Mary E. Martin Carlton. Lily was a member of Vaughn Hill Church of Christ in Wood River, IL. and active in the Joy Bus program before moving to Albuquerque in 1977 where she was a longtime member of the Montgomery Boulevard Church of Christ and remained an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Lily is survived by her daughter, Judy and husband, Wayne Jones of Albuquerque; three grandsons, Ron Jones and wife, Darlene, Chris Jones and wife, Susan, Matt Jones and wife, Belinda, all of Albuquerque; four great-grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Jones, Kyle and Kendall Jones; two brothers, Don Carlton of rural Nebo, IL, Merlyn Carlton of Barry, IL; and two sisters, Dorlene Hendrickson and Edna Johnson, both of Pleasant Hill, IL. Lily was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Berdette and John Carlton. Services were held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at the Poore Cemetery near Mozier, IL.
