Jane Keller Rasmussen, age 82, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, Rudolf, and mother, Rose; two sisters, Katherine, and Anna. Jane was a member of the Women's Army Corps and served in Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project days. It was during this time that she met her husband-to-be, Roger Rasmussen. The couple was married on November 3, 1945 at St. Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe, NM. Jane was employed by the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for 32 years, retiring in 1990. She was a founding member of the Trinity On The Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos. She was a member of the American Legion for more than 25 years. Jane is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Roger Rasmussen of Los Alamos; son, Gregory and wife,Trudy of Michigan; daughter, Beth and husband Mark Bonner of Virginia; two grandchildren, Jennifer (J.P.) Buckingham, and Erik (Lacie) Rasmussen, of Michigan; and three great-grandchildren, Camryn and Carter Buckingham, and Mackenzie Rasmussen. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity On The Hill Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity On The Hill Episcopal Church Building Fund.
