Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Dillon, born July 15, 1921, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2007. She was SO grateful not to have returned to the hospital. Betty is survived by her son, Mike Dillon, and her daughter, Moe Miller. Both Mike and Moe gave their mother loving care and assistance as she dealt with her long time illness. Mike was a real trooper as he assisted her with the day to day appointments that were necessary. Mike and Moe would like to express their gratitude to Alice Hoetke and Jill of Vista Care Hospice. They would also like to thank Kay Marr, Bea Ann Bevell, Sue Holbrook and Lauriel, and Fr. Chris Zugger for all of their help and kindness. There will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. Friday, August 31, at 7 p.m. and a Funeral Mass held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2007 - both will be held at Queen of Heaven Church at 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Vista Care Hospice of Albuquerque. Arrangements are being handled by Riverside Funeral Home, who have helped with kindness and grace through the last few weeks.
