Obituary for SOLTAU

Leonard Elton Soltau, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985 and former resident of Pinecreek, MN, died Friday, August 24, 2007. He is survived by daughter, Suzanne Embree and husband Joseph of Albuquerque; son, Karl Rosazza and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jack Rosazza and wife, Traci, Jenny Rosazza, Jessica Rosazza, F. Kersten, Kevin Kersten, Sr., Brenda Catanach and husband, Manuel; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Ryan, Kevin, Jr, Roy, LeeAnne, Tyler, and Jesse; brother, Stanley Soltau and wife, Mable of Pinecreek, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Soltau, their son, Hoyt Soltau, and brothers and sisters. Mr. Soltau was a proud member of the CCC's and was grateful for the opportunity to serve. Mr. Soltau served 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served during WWII and Korea. He retired after 20 years from the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis, MN as body guard to the president of the bank. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
