Peggy Joyce Pitts, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Marianna, Arkansas. Ms. Pitts is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Pitts; eldest son, Dale and wife, Karen; three grandchildren, Addison and Connor of Plano, TX, and Kendra of Albuquerque; and youngest son, DeWayne Pitts of Spring, TX. Ms. Pitts was a well known and respected art instructor who had painted and taught for over 30 years. She will be missed greatly by her family, close friends, and adoring students. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA of Albuquerque, P.O.
