Marian L. Nelson, a 25 year resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on July 24, 2007. She was born on July 23, 1918 in Bay City, MI. Marian (Guillemette) married Kenneth E. Nelson on July 13, 1940 in Bay City, where they began their family before moving to Midland, MI. They retired to Rio Rancho, NM in 1982. Both Marian and Ken were avid golfers and belonged to the Midland Country Club and Rio Rancho Golf and Country Club. They also enjoyed cruising and traveling to many places. Marian will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her son, Gary; and her brother, Albert. She is survived by her children, James Nelson and wife, Carole, of Southport, NC; Mark Nelson and wife, Elena, of Grover Beach, CA; Kristin Jette and husband, Ray of Santa Fe, NM; her sister, Pauline Dunkel and husband, Ken of Bay City, MI; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
