Isabel Griego 1914-2007 Age 93, a resident of Belen, NM passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and Blessed Sacrament Society. Isabel and her husband Pat owned and operated Pat's Grocery store for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosalio and Maria Castillo Sanchez.; husband, Pat; son, Larry, who died as a child; sisters, Casimira Lopez, Mary Gabaldon, Esther Sanchez; and brother, Placido Sanchez. Isabel is survived by her loving children, Rudolph Griego and his wife, Rose of Phoenix, AZ, David Griego and his wife, Adela of Belen, Cecilia Baker and her husband, Ken of Los Lunas, Lynda Yeager and her husband, Joe of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Patricia Griego, David Griego, Paulette Jaramillo, Rena Cordova, Jason Dietz, Monica Ward, and Jeff Gibson; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lily Silva and her husband, Lincoln of Albuquerque, Ann Wolf and her husband, Clarence of Albuquerque, Delfina Bray of California; sister-in-law, Ida Sanchez of Phoenix; brother-in-law, Eddie Sanchez of Albuquerque; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Olivia Hernandez and Karen. A public viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 31 at 8:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery.
