Obituary for HALE

David P. Hale, 88, of Santa Fe passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007. He was born in Nowata, OK. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bess and brother, Bill. David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Hale; two daughters, Susan Skeels and husband, Fred, Diana Garcia and husband, John; five grandchildren: Heather Skeels and husband, Merle Howe, Brian Skeels and wife, Sarah, Jay Daniel Garcia and Jennifer Roybal, Jordan Garcia and Christopher Garcia; three great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Howe, Elizabeth Skeels, and Jordyn Garcia. He is also survived by his sister, Jean and husband, Wesley Wilcox; and many other relatives and friends. David served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Connolly and was a graduate of the UNM School of Civil Engineering. He worked as the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission Engineer from 1954 until his retirement in 1980. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel with burial following at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
