Obituary for ANDERSON

Doris Gridley Anderson born April 2, 1933 in Tucson, Arizona, passed away on June 14, 2007 with family at her side. Preceded in death by parents, Rollin and Francis Gridley, plus beloved husband of 53 years, Bob Anderson, Doris is survived by children, Susan (John Attwood), Bruce (Rebecca), Beverly; grandsons, Jerrod and Clinton; plus many friends, including Michael and Kim Delbecq extended family in Albuquerque. Her adoring canine companion, Sadie also survives her. Doris was a native Tucsonan. She attended the University of Arizona and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. It was at the U of A she met the love of her life, Bob Anderson. They were married in 1953 and raised their family in Arizona before moving to Albuquerque in 1987 where they lived for 13 years before returning to Tucson to retire. She was a member of PEO and enjoyed the many friendships she made thru that organization. Doris had a passion for music, antiques, and most importantly her family. She loved gardening and had beautiful plants inside and out. Above all, she was a class act. A celebration of her life has taken place in Tucson. The family wishes to thank Tucson Medical Center Hospice, the Homestead on 18th St and Lawrence Cohen, DDS. Memorial donations may be made to the Southern Arizona Humane Society.
