William Thomas Schorr, 85, passed away July 3, 2007. He was born January 20, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. William had lived in NM most of his life since 1938. He was in active service of the United States Navy during WWII. For most of his life, William was a truck driver and was an active part of Teamster Local #492. He was also an avid collector of model trains and a member of the Belen Model Railroad Club. William is preceded in death by the love of his life of 46 years, Mary T. Schorr in 2001. He is survived by his 3 children, William H. Schorr and wife Donna of Jarales, NM.; Nancy Smart, and Mary Munding and husband Chris all of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Michael Munding and wife Tonya of Hillsboro, OR,; Kirsten Sigurdson and husband Jon, Rex Smart and Staci Smart all of Albuquerque, NM; Jennifer Schorr and Daniel Schorr both of Jarales, NM; five great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and close friends. Memorial services for William will be held Friday, July 6, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. A private burial will follow in the coming week.
