Alice C. "Eliza" Garcia, 100, born in Peralta, NM on May 4, 1907, and a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1942, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Amelia Torrez of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Priscilla Smith and husband, Larry; David Torrez and wife, Kathy; Michael Torrez and wife, Rosanna; Mary Louise Bermudez and husband, Jim; Kathleen Bloom and husband, Steve, and Yolanda Lunsford and husband, James; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE. Service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Mansfield officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE. Pallbearers will be David Torrez, Michael Torrez, Jim Bermudez, Steve Bloom, James Lunsford, and Andr‚ Sandoval.
