Obituary for FISHER

Kathleen "Katie" Fisher, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, died Thursday, June 28, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William H. "Peeps" Fisher; children, William M. "Billy" Fisher and wife, Cathie, Theresa "Terry" Harmon and husband, Bruce, Debra "Lynn" LaBeau and husband, Pete, all of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Boyd Gilkey, Brian Bentley, Chris Fisher, Kevin Fisher, Branden LaBeau, Lisa Harmon Peter LaBeau, and Stevie Goodnight; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Koerper, Harold "Bub" Koerper, Ramona Thedford, and Kay Ainsworth; her beloved dogs, Molly and Lady Fisher; and several other relatives and friends. Katie was preceded in death by her son, Christopher A. Fisher, in 1976 and her parents, Kenneth and Audrey Koerper. She was born on September 5, 1933 in Ironton, OH. After high school she attended Beauty College. Katie married William H. Fisher whom was a childhood friend. For two years she ran a ceramic shop on Kirtland Air Force Base. She was very active in many other things including volunteering at the Balloon Fiesta Park, and Camp Host at Redondo Campground in the Jemez Mtns. Katie loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She was known to her family and friends as "MeeMaw" or "The Meems". Katie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday, July 2, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, July 3, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
