Obituary for REDMAN

BETTE REDMAN, 83, (Beulah Ernestine Tegg Redman) passed away June 26, 2007. She had resided in Arbor Brook Nursing Home the last two years where she was rehabilitating from two strokes. Bette was born and raised in Norfolk, VA where she attended Granby High School and later the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She was an accomplished concert pianist and organist and she taught her children and grandchildren to play piano leaving music as her legacy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Margaret Kiernan; her brother, John Buel Tegg; and her former husband, Dr. Jack C. Redman, M.D. She is survived by her six children; Jack and spouse Susan of San Diego, CA, James and spouse Judy of Scottsdale, AZ, Judy Redman Kirk and spouse Jeff of Copperas Cove, TX, Janet Redman Gallo and spouse Tony of Dunn Loring, VA, John Redman of Albuquerque and Joseph Redman of Waco, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a double-cousin, Lucile Tegg of Raleigh, NC; one niece; and many nephews. Her final resting place will be in Norfolk, VA. where her cremated remains will be sent. In lieu of flowers, Bette's wishes were to have donations made to the First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, NM.
