Obituary for O'TOOLE

James Michael O'Toole II, 64, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007 after an 11 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born on August 14, 1942 in Parkersburg, WV. He was a graduate of Abbey School in Canon City, CO, New Mexico Military Institute, University of Albuquerque and the University of Houston in Clear Lake City, TX. Mr. O'Toole was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6711, a 4th Degree Knight and a past Grand Commander of Guadalupe Caravan #234 International Order of Alhambra. He was a devoted volunteer in the Cancer Resource Center at Providence Memorial Hospital, and also volunteered at Sierra Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge James M. and Marion K. O'Toole of Albuquerque, NM. Mr. O'Toole is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia C. O'Toole; son, Christopher Michael O'Toole and wife, Michele; daughter, Cynthia Marie Sirico and husband, Thomas. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Amanda Elizabeth, Brooke Isabelle and Meghan Lizette Sirico. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere. Pallbearers will be Christopher O'Toole, Dr. Les Schmidt, Don Gilliam, Tom Michael, Rob Schmidt and Tom Clinton. The family wishes to thank Dr. Byron H. Chesbro and the staff of the El Paso Cancer Treatment Center-West for all their help over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to La Mariposa Hospice, 1250 Cliff, Suite 5E, El Paso, TX 79902 and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
