Norman O. Mayer, 82, passed away peacefully at his home June 23, 2007. Norman, formerly from Wichita, KS and Queens, NY, was a 30-year resident of Rio Rancho. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mayer and his daughter, Ethelann Mayer. He is survived by his brother, Olen Dean Mayer and wife, Bobby of Richmond, MO; his sons, Ronald Dean Mayer and wife, Margaret of Albion, PA, and Samuel Mayer of Albuquerque; his daughter, Diane Mayer of Rio Rancho; granddaughters, Jennifer Edwards, Deborah Brock, and Michelle McDonald and their families; grandsons, Dean Mayer and Robert Mayer; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Norman was dearly loved by family and friends and will be sorely missed. A private burial will be held at the gravesite of his wife and daughter. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Lung Association in Norman Mayer's name.
