Dr. Stephen George Babel, 51, passed away peacefully at home with family May 28, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Rock Springs, WY on November 30, 1955 to George and Therese Babel. Steve is survived by his wife Cindy Pease-Babel; children, LeighAnn, Greg, Ryan and Cassie; siblings, Ginny, Jack, Ruth, Mark, George, Patty, and Lori; fellow radiologists at X-Ray Associates; and many more family members, friends, and colleagues. He practiced medicine for 25 years, and was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. He will be greatly missed by all of those he touched, both in his personal life and in the medical community. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Jimmy John. Rosary recitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Michael Shea as the celebrant.
