William Schneider, Sr., PhD, age 86, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, May 10, 2007. While earning his PhD at Princeton University, he was involved working on the Manhattan Project. He and his wife, Alverta, have lived in the area for the past seven years. William is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alverta; son, William, Jr. and his wife Margie of Corrales; son, Richard and his wife Maryel of Bedford, NY; daughter, Barbara of Oberlin, OH; son, John and his wife Wendy of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
