Obituary for CANDELARIA

Jerry F. Candelaria, 53, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 9, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Jerry is the beloved husband to Mary Ann. Jerry is also survived by his two daughters, Geraldine Candelaria, Theresa Rogers and husband, Yei; three granddaughters, Trinity, Ariah, and Natelyn; his parents, Samuel B. and Susanna Candelaria; one sister, Lorraine A. Candelaria; one brother, Sam Candelaria and wife, Annie; three nieces, Alyssa, Krizia, and Janelle; two nephews, Jang and Jacob; mother-in-law, Odelia Lucero; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ray Lucero; a granddaughter, Sental Luna; his grandfather, Fred Candelaria; nephews, Phillip Joshua Garcia. Jerry was a member of the Catholic Church, a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1971. Jerry was an avid fan of the Greenbay Packers and New Mexico Lobos. He loved fishing, hunting, the Boston Celtics, and sports. He was the life of the party, an awesome dancer, never a stranger to anyone, a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, son and a friend to all. Visitation for Jerry will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Pablo LeFerbe. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Bijoy Frances. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Yei Rogers, Rudy Yardman, Sam Candelaria, Michael Lucero, Gabe Rodriguez, and Jang Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Candelaria, Ray Allen Madrid, Brandon Garcia, Arklas Beyer, Aaron Sowder, Anthony Sowder, Steven Maestas, Mario Maestas,Allen Lucero, Dana Bates, Mike Sowder, Carl Beyer, and Mike Anaya.
