Beatrice Paradis, 106, of Rio Rancho, passed away quietly in her sleep on Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Beatrice was born on April 24, 1901 to John and Virginia Sears in the Azores, Portugal. Beatrice moved to New Mexico in 1994 and lived in Bueno Vista Retirement Center until 2006 at which time she moved to Rio Rancho Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Beatrice is survived by her son, John Dufresne; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
