LEO E. Mr. Leo E. Maestas, 68, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Roy, NM, passed away on May 4, 2007 peacefully at home with his loving family by his side and is now in heaven with our Lord. Mr. Maestas is the beloved husband to Mrs. Mary Ann Maestas, married for 50 years. Mr. Maestas is the beloved father to Sylvia Maestas, Larry Maestas and wife, Diane, Annita Gallegos and husband, Edward, Gerty Maestas and husband Joe Herrera, Juan Maestas, Robert Maestas, Pete Maestas and wife, Terri. Mr. Maestas is also survived by four sisters, Stella Martinez and husband, Joe, Nadine Ybarra, Betty Gonzales and husband, Joe, Gloria Arguello and husband, Victor; one brother, Joe Maestas and wife, Jane; six grandchildren, Felix, Steven, Richard and wife, Danielle, Anthony, Sylvia Anne and Mario; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jenessa Rose; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Maestas was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Mr. Maestas will be Sunday afternoon from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. by Charles Martinez. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy, NM with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father George Salazar. Interment will follow at the Village of Roy Cemetery in Roy, NM. Pallbearers will be Felix Maestas, Steven Maestas, Richard Maestas, Anthony Maestas, Mario Gallegos, and Johnny Arias.
