Obituary for LOPEZ

Amada T. Lopez, 88, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at Laurel View Health Center, Wednesday, May 2, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Dorinda (Lopez) Espinoza and husband, Rick of Albuquerque; sons, Frank L. of Albuquerque, David P. of San Jose, CA, and Billy D. Lopez and Pearl Padilla of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Richard C. Espinoza and Gina Naranjo, Michael Quinones, Lisa Fowles, Gabriela Chavez-Lopez, and Adriana Chavez-Lopez; great-grandchildren, Richard Andres Espinoza, Alexis Raquel Diane Espinoza, and Deja Quinones; sister, Nancy Rubi and husband, Rumaldo; and sister-in-law, Virginia Lopez. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardino "Benny" Lopez; daughter, Mary Alice Lopez; and son, Albert Anthony Lopez. Mrs. Lopez was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her family and a devout Catholic. In addition to dedicating her life to family, she believed very strongly in community by touching so many other lives. She retired from the Albuquerque Public School System as "the head cook" at Ernie Pyle Middle School. The family would like to give special thanks to Presbyterian Hospice, the staff at Laurel View and her special care givers, Alma, Jimmy and Gorras. Rosary will be recited Sunday, May 6, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 7, 2007, 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW. Interment will follow at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery.
