Mr. RP Whitaker Jr., 74, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 30, 2007. Mr. Whitaker is the beloved husband to Mrs. Fannie Whitaker, married for 54 years. Mr. Whitaker is also survived by his children, Robert Whitaker and wife, Elayne, Vanessa Whitaker, Fredrick Whitaker and wife, Edna and Mischel Crain; two sisters, Hazel Coleman, Helen Crain and husband, Rev. James; nine grandchildren, Deastina Lucas, Ja'Cory Lucas and wife, Alyssa, Apollonia Jordan and husband, Khari, Allonna Whitaker, Leanne Whitaker, Erica Whitaker, Amber Whitaker, Mariah Whitaker and Timothy Jones; four great-grandchildren and one on the way, Don'Tay, Elijah, Jordan, and Turner; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be Thurday, May 3, 2007 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service to be held at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Alonzo Twitty Sr. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Whitaker, Fredrick Whitaker, Timothy Jones, Ja'Cory Lucas, LaRon Lewis, Jerell Whitman, and Jerard Whitman.
