Maurice T. Johnson, 19, was born on January 31, 1988 to Tammy Martin and Maurice Hudson in Fort Worth, TX. Shortly after his birth, he was adopted by Marvin and Linda Hopkins. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. He attended Del Norte High School, and his passion was baseball, which he played from the tender age of 3 through high school. His shoes and hats he truly loved. Maurice was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Hopkins and leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Linda Johnson Hopkins, of Albuquerque; parents, Tammy Martin and Maurice Hudson of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter, Emeerah L. Johnson and her mother, Gabby Henry and unborn baby, Mauricea K. Johnson and her mother, Renesha Tomlin of Albuquerque; brother, Terry Martin (Mercedes) of Albuquerque; five sisters, Veronica Hopkins and Dee Ann Hopkins of Albuquerque, Ashley Martin, Brittney Sango, and Shaneka Brownie, all of Ft. Worth, TX; grandparents, Rev. Raymond and Ruthie Martin and Brenda Martin, of Ft. Worth, TX; great-grandmothers, Thelma Hampton Sharpe and Doris Atkins, all of Ft. Worth, TX; great-grandfather, Eugene Johnson of Albuquerque and Godparents, Ken and Helen Smith of Albuquerque as well as a host of friends and family. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at The Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Faith Temple Church, 1000 Broadway, Rev. Samuel Gilmore officiating. Committal will follow in the Sandia Memory Gardens.
