Obituary for FLENOURY

Richard Flenoury, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1982, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Flenoury of Albuquerque; children, Cody Christopher Flenoury of Albuquerque; LaMarr Flenoury and wife Roslyn, and Patricia Ann Flenoury of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Darren Stevenson and Jordan Flenoury; sisters Patricia Hightower, Georgia Mae McMorris, Gertrude White, Catherine Lee, and Jan Walton; brother, Alfonso Lee and nieces and nephews. Mr. Flenoury was preceded in death by his father, Cody C. Flenoury, Sr., mother, Mary Francis Lee, and brothers Cody C. Flenoury, Jr. and Frank Lee. Richard was a member of Heights First Church of the Nazarene, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Upwards Basketball, and various church ministries. Richard grew up in Atlanta, GA. He served in the Air Force for 22 years with a tour in Vietnam and worked in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. In 1982 he moved to Albuquerque and retired after 21 years with the Department of Energy. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Heights First Church of the Nazarene. His cremains will be placed at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
