Petrita Romero passed away April 20, 2007 in Albuquerque, surrounded by her family. She was born in Monticello, New Mexico on May 29, 1912, to Delfino and Virginia Montoya. Petrita was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of all who came in contact with her. She is survived by her children, daughters, Gloria M. Chavez and her husband, George, Jeanne Cuaron and her husband, Gilbert of Albuquerque; son, Andy Romero and his wife, Pauline of Corona, CA.; sisters, Martha Romero and Rosie Padilla; grandchildren, Jolene Smith, Marianne Anaya, Melody Nagel, Laura Wilson, Karla Silver, Deanna Smith, Darryl Romero, Andrea Romero, Eileen Romero, Charlie Cuaron, Crystal Kirschman; 21 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her two husbands Pat A. Romero and Leo Espinosa; her daughter, Gladys Pike, and her son, Spec. 5 Charles A. Romero, who was killed in Vietnam, on September 5, 1969. Pallbearers will be Darryl Romero, Charlie Cuaron, Patrick Romero, Michael Smith, Jeremiah Kirschman, Chris Sedillo. Honorary Pallbearers, Jim Meyer, Benny Martinez, Christian Friel, Andy C.
