Alice Boynton died in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, April 14, 2007, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. A career foreign service secretary, Alice was posted all over the world. Having lived in Tunis, Seoul, Bangkok, Saigon, Nairobi, Riyadh, Burundi, Kinshasha, and Lima, her favorite tour of duty was in Beirut in the early seventies. As a child she spent her summers in Wauwinet on Nantucket Island, MA and continued her ties with the island throughout her life. An avid bridge player, Alice graced the duplicate tables in Albuquerque, NM where she retired in late 1994. Alice is survived by her sister, Nora Keil of Worcester, MA; brother, Woody Boynton of Old Saybrook, CT; two nieces; two nephews; and two grandnieces; as well as friends and cousins. Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 20, 2007, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Alice contributed to many causes and was a member of many organizations.
