Jennie Ellen Valente, 81, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 due to illness. She was born in Park Hill, OK, attended school in Muskogee, OK, then later moved to Dallas, TX. In Dallas, she met and married Eligio Valente and later moved to New Mexico in 1959. She was a long term resident of Santa Fe and Chimayo, NM. Jennie and Eligio were married for 53 years until his passing. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Seymour of Tome, NM; son, Alan Valente and wife, Christine of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Anna Level and husband, Rex of Los Lunas, NM; granddaughter, Jennifer Seymour; grandson, Jeremy Seymour; granddaughter, Karen Seymour; great-grandson, Skyler Seymour. In addition she is survived by her brother, Atha Meigs and his wife, Thelma; her nephew, Junior; nieces, Quanah, Ramona, and Mary; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Jennie was a member of the Chilocco National Alumni Association. Services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
