Obituary for CHACON

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday April 15, 2007

Debra Ann Chacon "Debbie" was born February 21, 1961. The Lord's messenger came on Thursday, April 5, 2007. Debbie retired as Lieutenant, from the City of Albuquerque Corrections Department. Debbie was a loving and caring person and deeply loved by her family. She will be greatly missed. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Upshaw and brother, Jerry Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Isidro Chacon; her daughter, Nichole Turrietta; her father, Joe Archuleta; sisters, Julia Solano and Theresa Sierra; brother, Alfonso Garcia; and many other family members and caring friends who loved her and will miss her. I'm Free - Don't grieve for me now I'm free; I'm following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, O yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I've wished you the sunshine for tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seems all to brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now - He set me free. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests your prayers. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
