Fred S. Putnam, 81, born September 8, 1925, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 of lung illness. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lenora Putnam; daughter, Linda Brennan; sons, Frank and Lawrence Putnam; grandchildren, Adrienne Greenwood, Nicole Gloetzner, Elizabeth Putnam, and Marc Walenda; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Teagan, Talon, and Nova. Fred served in the Army in World War II. He retired from Hydro Conduit Prestress as Forman making bridges after 28 years. He shall be missed. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, March 21, 2007, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be recited Thursday, March 22, 2007, 9:00 a.m., at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Frank Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, Ed Gallegos, Ed Litchfield, Jim McBride, and James Fieldson. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Greenwood and Timothy McBride. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, one hour prior to Rosary.
