Obituary for KLIPPING

WAYNE M. CMSgt. Wayne M. Klipping, USAF (Ret), 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1991, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Coe of Jones, OK; his son, Dennis Klipping of Rio Rancho, NM; and his daughter Diana Allred and husband, Larry, of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren, Jason, Brandy, Sara, Jenny, Drew, Joshua, Truman Jr., Stacey, and Shelly; eleven great-grandchildren, Justin, Jackson, Randi Jo, Truman III, Christopher, Roman, Wyatt, Warren, Reya, Isabella, and Aiden; two brothers, Vernon A. Klipping and Robert S. Klipping, both of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Jeanne Klipping of Colorado Springs, CO, and Doris Eggleston of Mesquite, NV; and numerous other relatives, friends, and acquaintances who loved him for the kind, caring and generous man he was. CMSgt Klipping was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Arlene Stegeman on February 19, 1984; and six brothers and sisters, Richard, Inez, Rochelle, Phyllis, Lona, and Marion. He was born on July 22, 1919 in Forest City, IA to Roy Samuel and Marie Peterson Klipping. CMSgt. Klipping entered the Army Air Corp in 1937 and proudly served his country retiring on June 30, 1962 from the United States Air Force. He married Edna Arlene Stegeman on July 19, 1942 and they started their life together in Abilene, TX. CMSgt Klipping was a WWII veteran who served in the China/Burma/India Theater. He excelled in his military career and was one of the very first few to reach the distinguished rank of Chief Master Sergeant. In 1962, he retired from the Air Force and began a new career with the Social Security Administration in Lawton, OK. Several years after the death of his beloved wife, Arlene, Wayne moved to Albuquerque where he has lived for the past 16 years. He was active in his community, a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, and a 32nd Degree Mason in the Zia Daylight Lodge No. 77. Wayne loved his 68 Mustang convertible and was a member of the Mustang Club of America and the Rio Grande Mustang Club in Albuquerque. He leaves his legacy through his examples of integrity, love of life, family and community. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday, March 19, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Road NE, Albuquerque, NM, Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 1:00 p.m. and at Becker Funeral Home, Inc., 1502 Fort Sill Blvd. Lawton, OK, Friday, March 23, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Post Cemetery in Ft.
