Julia Padilla, 84, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 15, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bennie M Padilla; children, Soila Brewer, Cecilia Moraga, Lucille Ortiz and Bennie Padilla Jr. Julia is also survived by her grandchildren, Debbie Moraga, Yvette Padilla, Pete Candelaria and wife, Laurie, Michael Moraga and wife, Naomi, Roxanne Garner and husband, Clay, Rhonda Padilla, Lia Padilla, Jason Ortiz and fiancee, Becky, and Josh Ortiz; eight great-grandchildren, Desiree and Daniel Padilla, Damian Padilla, Kacey, Savannah, and Jordyn Garner, Timothy and Alyssa Moraga, and Ian Candelaria; and one great-great-granddaughter, Destiny; nine brothers and sisters, Lupita Saiz, Tom Sanchez, Eluid Sanchez and wife, Agnes, Pat Sanchez and wife, Susan, Albert Sanchez, Angie Metzgar and husband, J.D., Viola Candelaria and husband, Bernard, Suzanne Martinez and husband, Felix, and Darlene Marsh and husband, John. Mrs. Padilla was a devoted, patient, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Rosary will be recited Monday, March 19, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at St Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clay Garner, Michael Moraga, Jason Ortiz, Josh Ortiz, Damian Padilla and Daniel Padilla.
