Obituary for ZACCARDI

John Carmine Zaccardi "Mr. Z", passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Born December 11, 1939, in Provo, UT, he was the youngest of seven children born to Oriente and Rosaria Zaccardi. John arrived in Albuquerque in 1976 to manage the Zales Corporation New Mexico stores. He retired from Zales after many years of dedicated service. John was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. One of John's many gifts was his ability to help everyone feel like family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Julius Zaccardi; sister, Norma Zaccardi; and grandson, Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Rita Griego Zaccardi; his daughters, Anna-Marie Zaccardi (fiance, Ken), Michelle Healy (husband, Sean), Karena Jackson (husband, Troy), Monica Bergeron (life partner Delfie Gonzales), Angela Hendrix (husband, Greg); and Tony Martorell, his foreign exchange son from Spain; sisters, Gloria Chatterly, Isabella Segna, Dorothy Keeney; and brother, Ben Zaccardi. He loved his grandchildren, Greggory Winters, Peyton Healy, Eli Healy, Raneka Jackson, Victoria Jackson, Anzana Hendrix, Maegan Hendrix, Annelyse Hendrix, and John Zaccardi Hendrix. John is dearly remembered with great affection by his many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 2, 2007 beginning at 5:00 p.m. Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Greggory Winters, John Chatterly, Michael Ulibarri, Mark Guerin, Zachary Guerin, Mark Zaccardi, Peter Zaccardi, and Stephen Griego.
