Obituary for SIMONI

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Simoni, 77, died early Thursday, February 22, 2007 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her brother, Juan Armijo and his wife, Stella; and her sister, Evelyn Carter and her husband, Douglas; one son, Arthur Simoni and his wife, Martha; two daughters, Angela Simoni and Barbara Simoni-Twinn; four grandchildren, Vernon Lawhorn, Tamara Twinn, Lee Simoni-Youtz and her husband, Shane Youtz, and Arthur Simoni Jr.; six grandchildren, Ali, Livee, and Luna Simoni, and Kahlo, Cassady, and Lucia Youtz; and her beloved cat, Gypsy. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Simoni. The Simoni family would like to thank all the family and friends who showed their support and love during the days of Betty's life, with special gratitude to Dr. Luis Padilla-Paz, whose kindness and empathy was equitable to any amount of treatment he could have prescribed. Services will be held Monday, February 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the New Mexico Cancer Society.
