Obituary for PERKINS

Linda G. Perkins, 62, a longtime resident of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Donald Anthony; daughter, Trisha Franz and husband, Marvin of Amarillo, TX; mother, Cloie Gillespie of Clovis, NM; sister, Paula Burnett and husband, Danny of Albuquerque; Don's children, Tony, Karen, Randy, and Judy; grandchildren, Morgan and Trey; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family. Linda was a spirit filled adventurer who loved to swim, read and travel. She nurtured her relationships with her husband, family and friends, especially enjoying the time she spent with her daughter, and grandchildren, Morgan and Trey, and her mother. Linda worked as a social worker and adoptive director for the State of New Mexico. She was with a development company for 24 years. Towards the end of her life she started a career as a travel agent. She was a published poet, member of MENSA, and recognized as an "Outstanding Young Woman of America." Linda received her BA and MA Summa Cum Laude. She was a lifelong lover of learning. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Monday, February 26, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
