Obituary for MCBRIDE

Emmett J. McBride, age 85, passed away February 22, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 31, 1922, to John and Anna McBride in Chicago, IL. He retired from Mountain Bell with over 35 years of service. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and he was a volunteer deputy sheriff with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, scuba-driving, westerns, bowling, reading, guns, story telling, traveling, judo and his family and friends. He enjoyed volunteering for his church, at Risen Savior. He is survived by his wife, Ida and sister, Mary; daughters, Carol Carpenter and husband, Dennis, Sharon McBride and partner, SherryLynn, Janet McBride, Christina McBride; daughter-in-law, Brenda; and step-children, Mary and Tom. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Madeline Livermore, Alyssa McBride, Caylon Orth, Gannon Livermore, Lon McBride, Ian McBride, and Cameron Livermore. He has many friends and loved ones that will miss him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline M. McBride and son, J. Steve McBride. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be Monday, February 26, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd Chapel on Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
