Jeffery B. Cutter, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, died in his sleep on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Jeff's life was filled with adventure, learning, self-sufficiency, and fun. He spent the decade prior to his attendance at the University of New Mexico working in construction and traveling extensively throughout North America. After graduating from UNM, magna cum laude with his degree in Anthropology in 1985, he worked in the southwest as an archeologist. In 1989, he moved to West Virginia where he founded a non-profit housing corporation serving the low-income and disabled. In 1996, he resettled in Albuquerque where he continued to share travel, reading, and good times with his family. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music, stories, and poetry. Jeff came from a family with a tradition of military service dating back to revolutionary times. Of note, his grandfather, Gen. Egbert Rosecrans served in WWI and both his parents, Clarence E. Cutter and Elizabeth Rosecrans served in WWII. Jeffery enlisted in the army at the age of 17 and served in both Korea and Vietnam. He was strongly opposed to the War on Iraq and did whatever he could to stop the senseless slaughter and criminal waste of the worlds resources and the lives of innocent men, women, and children. He had faith that the future could bring love, hope, and understanding between peoples and nations. He encouraged his daughters to travel and learn new languages. Jeff is survived by his wife, Lynn Mitchell; daughters, April and husband, Barton Koop of West Fairlee, VT, Marina Callozzo of Chicago, IL and Lillian of Albuquerque; sisters, Bernadette Adames and husband, Leo; and Marygil Henretty and husband, Kevin. Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved niece, Liz Adames. Jeffery's funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
