Obituary for CHRIST

Elvin "Pete" Christ, lifelong native of New Mexico, passed away February 21, 2007 at the age of 89. Elvin was born on a Dairy Farm in Alameda. After serving in World War II, he returned home to farm the same land and start his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mavis (Rozell) Christ; daughter, Jeanne and husband, Bob Tamez; son, David and wife, Gail Christ; daughter, Terri and husband, Bob Copsin, who all reside in Truth or Consequences, NM. He is also blessed with nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. After retirement, he became a resident of Truth or Consequences in 1984. At his request, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Truth or Consequences, NM on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Wood officiating. The family requests and memorials and flowers to go to the family home. Arrangements are by Kirikos Family Funeral Home, Inc. & Sierra Crematory, LLC, 303 N. Cedar St.
